Meet The Director
Maureen Morkill
Maureen has proudly owned and directed The Dance Corps since 2001. Born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area, she had the privilege of training with many of Canadaβs most respected dance educators. Maureen excelled in acrobatics and was honored with a rare opportunity to train with the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil.”
Her competitive dance career took her across Canada and the United States, earning numerous accolades along the way. Under her leadership, students at The Dance Corps have consistently achieved top honors at both regional and national competitions, establishing a strong reputation on the competitive dance circuit.
Maureenβs dancers have also gone on to enjoy professional success, performing with esteemed organizations such as Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, and Ballet Hagen in Germany.
A certified national examiner and proud member of Dance Masters of America, Maureen is a highly sought-after judge, choreographer, and master class instructor. She is committed to continual growth, regularly attending conventions and workshops to stay inspired and up to date in her craft.
Maureen is especially proud to work alongside many of her former students, now faculty members at TDC, and takes great pride in the vibrant, supportive community theyβve built together.

Save The Date!! The TDC Fundraising Team is hosting Pub Night on February 28th at Drake a Firkin Pub. All money raised will go towards supporting our competitive team at their National competition in Orlando, Florida this summer. The evening will include: - Pub Night Bites - Dessert - Games/Raffles - A Silent Auction - A Live DJ It is going to be an incredibly fun night that you do not want to miss out on. What better way to recognize Black History Month then by sending BIG congratulations to TDC lifer and graduating senior @jasminerenee_official on her acceptance to Howard University for Fall 2026. There has been no better ambassador for the black youth community here in Mississauga and we are by no means surprised that this prestigious school has offered Jasmine a place within its walls.
